A health voluntary sector is well connected: organisations and individuals are connected to each other and to key sources of information, people know each other, talk together, share information, and come together to deliver better outcomes for their members and service users. To facilitate this, we:

  • host a searchable directory of voluntary organisations active in Watford:
  • research and publish information on the local voluntary sector (see ProspectUs);
  • run a regular informal lunch (open to anyone in the local voluntary sector) on the Second Tuesday of each month;
  • provide free access (including forums) to the http://herts.Community/networking site;
  • prepare and circulate a regular members’ update;
  • can help you to locate and share the right training, resources, skills;
  • support the induction of key new staff, to make sure they settle quickly into their roles, and can broker mentoring and mutual support relationships;
  • create and support working groups and networks;
  • can help you to identify the right partners for your organisations (from the voluntary, public or private sectors) – see;
  • support you to create, strengthen or dissolve partnerships and consortia (using our bespoke range of template agreements).
